Hi, I’m Kate. I’m a stay-at-home, home-schooling mom of three kids. I enjoy reading, writing, and growing vegetables in my garden. I recently acquired a garden full of weeds in a new house move. I left behind two 24-square feet of garden set up in four-by-six rectangles in addition to two other gardens. I miss them. I live in USDA plant hardiness zone 5.
I’ve been gardening for seven years. I started growing tomatoes and peppers in pots when I lived in a condo and moved to square-foot gardening when we bought our house. I’m now moving on to in-the-ground gardening using what I learned from square-foot gardening. I am, by far, not a gardening expert. I enjoy gardening and wanted to write about it…with humor.
This blog is about fumbling through my vegetable and fruit gardens. I write (mostly) humor over at Can I Get Another Bottle of Whine?, but I didn’t think they’d want to hear about my obsession with compost bins, my worm farm and my love/hate relationship with rabbits, at least not to the extent and depth that I want to write about them. This blog allows me to write, with humor, about one of my passions: gardening.

This is me. This picture was not taken in my yard. I do not have a fountain.
